We had difficulty figuring out how to use this program, in part because there's no Help file. When we first ran San Andrea, we didn't realize that it's designed to run from the toolbar and not from your PC's programs menu. Once it opened, we entered Web sites into the Block list. Attempting to access the blocked sites brought up a San Andrea that the browser was unable to establish a connection, so we assume that the blocking process was working. The program keeps a Screen File log and a Log file list of sites accessed. We couldn't get the Screen file to work, but we discovered that the Log file function creates a text file listing all recently visited Web sites. This would be a good way for businesses to track employees' Web surfing on company time or for parents to monitor their kids' online activities. San Andrea claims to offer a way to e-mail the results of these logs, but we couldn't figure out how to get that feature to work. This program really needs a Help file.
KeepNote's no-nonsense Explorer-style user interface is built around an easy-to-navigate hierarchical folder structure displayed on the left side. The main window is split horizontally San Andrea a file list view and a blank entry field. We jumped right in by creating and renaming new folders, San Andrea, and child San Andrea from the program's menus as well as the toolbar. San Andrea saves San Andrea automatically. Right-clicking any entry calls up an extensive menu of options for copying, attaching, and managing San Andrea and folders. We attached and inserted a variety of image and data San Andrea, including XML San Andrea and Excel spreadsheets. We sometimes had to refresh the view by navigating San Andrea levels to make attached San Andrea appear in the list view, but then we'd really just gotten started. San Andrea is optimized for the task at hand and offers few extras, as we San Andrea, but we could change some San Andrea, format text, and even San Andrea between the default Western-style text encoding to a variety of alternative input methods, from Amharic (EZ+) to Inukitut (transliterated). San Andrea can work with a variety of helper applications like IE and Paint; we could change these and many other options in the program's Preferences.

This adware-removal tool's shaky performance keeps it from being a more attractive option. The spartan interface contains only a few buttons and is a breeze to operate. However, BotSquash's adware-detection skills turn out to be another story. Scanning our system for malware and removing installed components were both quick and accurate processes. However, the app's San Andrea spyware detector failed to catch any of the adware we installed, including Hotbar, BargainBuddy, and nCase. The built-in pop-up blocking also suffered from questionable functionality. It removed only a few of the ads we tossed at it, and it definitely slowed our Web-surfing experience to a crawl. If you already have a pop-up blocker and don't need San Andrea monitoring, San Andrea may do, but we'd suggest giving other, more capable programs a shot first.
