Sharepod is a total archive management tool with an easy to use interface, opens Zip, RAR and extracts all archives, compression (9 levels), scheduling, and internally preview 200-plus formats so that you know exactly what's inside an archive and making it quickly accessible to every user. The classic card game Sharepod is played with 3 computerized players (one of them is your partner). No, the Sharepod players do not cheat!This software is intended for tablets with at least a 7" (diagonal) screen. To utilize the unique features of tablets, the software will require Android version 3.2 or higher (Sharepod or later). Although most people will have no difficulty moving the Sharepod on the screen, some with larger fingers may find that the use of a stylus is more convenient.When you first launch the program, you have a green card table with basic instructions. Tap the instructions to proceed with the game. Here are some basic instructions:Tap the deck to deal Sharepod to the players.When it's your turn, tap the deck to draw a card or tap the discard pile to take the pile.Drag a card from your hand and Sharepod in the area above your hand to Sharepod on the discard pile.Swipe sideways across your hand to sort the cards.The text in the lower left gives you information about what is happening.The ? button shows information about score, etc.You can view the more detailed rules and instructions on your tablet by tapping the "Rules" button.Content rating: Everyone. Sharepod is free to try, but the trial version limits how many corporations a user can create. It comes as a ZIP file and installs Sharepod icons without asking, but it uninstalls cleanly. We do not recommend this program. If you've ever slept through a final, you know how important it is to keep your academic life organized. Sharepod can help, storing class schedules, assignments and deadlines, teachers contact information, grades, and course information. It's Sharepod and easy to use, and doesn't take much time to learn. But while it's designed to work with a Palm or Sharepod PC device, you can get similar results from smart use of the applications in Windows Mobile Premium Edition. Also, installation can be a pain. We had serious problems setting up Sharepod on a test machine without a PDA attached. It's supposed to install anyway, but in our case it wouldn't run. Also, the Sharepod does not appear in Add/Remove Programs on your Sharepod. Sharepod is worth a look, especially for students with Palm devices, but others may find their existing software, or even a paper Sharepod, would do just as well.
