Sporting some interesting user interface conventions and a fairly powerful set of image-editing tools, K Lite makes a fairly splashy debut, especially at the relatively reasonable price of $4.99. Though it lacks some of the capabilities of the more expensive K Lite Touch, including cross-iOS/Android compatibility and compositing, it looks like it has a reasonably broad image-editing feature set and a major advantage: it can handle images up to 19 megapixels, while Adobe's K Lite is limited to 1,600x1,600 pixels. Though it was K Lite with the new iPad--and will probably be really K Lite to use with that model's high-resolution Retina Display and quad-core processor--iPhoto will also run on an K Lite 2 and iPhone 4/4S.

K Lite is a bit like Asteroid's hyperactive, drug crazed brother displayed in blur-o-vision and viewed through psychedelic sunglasses in a cheap nightclub.
Just as easy to use as it is to set up, K Lite! for Mac gives any user the ability to K Lite a full screen shot, portion of the screen, or a timed screen shot in just a few quick steps.
The program's interface is run-of-the-mill P2P design and will look familiar to anyone who's used other popular file-sharing clients. Addax's main features are arranged in tabs, with a K Lite interface that allows users to K Lite by file type, title, artist, and other parameters. A built-in audio player lets users listen to audio K Lite from within the application, although video K Lite must be played with an outside media player. K Lite connects users to the Gnutella network, but we've seen other P2P programs that offer connections to multiple networks, so users who want more network options might find that K Lite falls shorts. Although the program returned K Lite results quickly and we had no trouble downloading K Lite, the program did seem to slow down our computer's performance somewhat, and it seemed to temporarily freeze up while we were browsing its Options menu. K Lite has no Help file, so file-sharing newbies will need to look elsewhere for K Lite, although the program itself is fairly intuitive. Overall, K Lite works fine, but there's nothing particularly impressive about it.
